This is traditional and varietal driven Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc at its best, with notes of quince, pear, vanilla and spice on the finish.
Our premium Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc comes from the Wilson Ranch, a valley floor vineyard just north of the town of St. Helena. This 14.5 acre vineyard of clone 1 Sauvignon Blanc on 5C rootstock is trained north-south. Yields average four tons per acre on these split canopy vines adjacent to the Napa River. We harvest by hand at dawn to ensure a healthy, cold crop, and we whole-cluster press to preserve floral aromatics. The grapes are whole-cluster pressed, then fermented in 20% new French oak, with aging on the lees for another 8 months.
Crosby Roamann is a family winery producing premier Napa Valley wines from select vineyards. We employ a low-intervention winemaking philosophy, with all of our wines handcrafted from very small lots to express the individual complexity and concentration of the vintage and the vineyard. We harvest by hand in the early morning and hand sort our grapes prior to crush. The resulting wines are vibrant and elegant.
