Jam Jar Moscato Western Cape 2011 750ml

 

The grapes were grown mainly in coastal vineyards, which benefit from cooling sea breezes. The vines average 19 years of age and the soils are predominantly decomposed granite (Oakleaf, Hutton and Tukulu) and eroded shale (Glenrosa, Estcourt).

 

2011 was a warm, dry vintage, characterized by a healthy climate with favorable weather conditions. A slightly cooler than average February led to a very good quality vintage for Muscat, with wines showing intense, concentrated flavors.

 

Jam Jar was born out of the realization that there are not a lot of options available to consumers seeking quality sweet wine. The fresh, fruity Moscato and Sweet Shiraz aim to fill that void.
