The Sonoma Zinfandel shows concentrated spicy strawberry, firm tannin structure and a balanced acidity. It has a mouth-coating richness and depth and a subtle vanilla quality that compliments the dark fruit flavors.Besides your typical Zinfandel pairing of red meat and barbeque dishes, this wine with its dark berry flavors, complement a fairly broad range of cheese types. Because of its sweeter flavor, Zinfandels can be reserved for some of the saltier cheeses, particularly blue cheese.
A small Sonoma Valley vineyard planted in 1979 provided the grapes for this blend. Head-trained pruning was utilized to allow ideal sun exposure for the vine.
