Ripe nose of raspberry, plum, pepper and chapparel. Blackberry, mineral and vanilla notes dominate the palate. Well integrated tannins typical of this classic vineyard add to the long finish.

The Ridge Lytton Springs has certainly been one of the benchmarks for Zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley, arguably the best region for Zinfandel in all of California.  Ridge's first vintage of Lytton Springs was 1972 and nearly forty years later Lytton Springs continues to show why it's one of the best.

The 2009 Lytton Springs is a blend of Zinfandel (dominant), Petite Sirah, and Carignane.  The Zinfandel vines are over 100 years old.A full-bodied red with plenty of blackberry and raspberry fruit, a touch of black pepper and cloves, with a smooth finish from the  aging in American oak barrels.
