Medium-bodied, dry. Tropical notes, oak and vanilla are consistent with classic California flavor while Washington's climate and Bergevin's skills keep Linen restrained and balanced. Pair with cheeses, hors d'oeuvres, white meats in cream sauce, and broiled white fish.
Founded in 2002 by Canoe Ridge alumnus Gary Bergevin and Amber Lane, this winery produces something in the neighborhood of 11,000 cases per year. While this is far more than many of the labels we carry, Bergevin Lane maintains relatively small output compared to other wineries in Washington and California. Their capacity is double but they limit themselves to the fruit sourced solely from boutique growers in the Wahluke Slope and Walla Walla AVAs.
Linen Chardonnay is a new addition to their line and has come just in time for party season. This is a crowd please no matter how much people say they dislike Chard.
