This 12 year old version is fit for a king: at once elegant and complex, a scotch dominated by almonds, vine fruits and subtle spices.
Founded in 1812 by Captain William Fraser, the ROYAL BRACKLA distillery is one of the oldest distilleries in the world. The single malt quickly attracted the favour of the King himself, proving that its royal title was more than just a name. Honoured in 1833 by order of King William IV, it was the first whisky to receive the royal title. In 1838, Queen Victoria repeated the honours, making ROYAL BRACKLA one of the most highly rated whiskies of its generation. Its gentle, herbaceous flavours result from its meticulous production process that reaches its apogee in a 72-hour fermentation process - the longest in the industry. It is also distilled in taller stills than most. After maturing first in bourbon casks, its 6 month sherry cask finish gives it a fruity, sweet finish that melts in the mouth.
