Napa Valley's complex and varied soil types are the result of volcanic activity, ocean incursions and mountain water run-off that have occurred over millennia. Our Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from vineyards that are blessed with the ideal soil and weather conditions to create delicious fruit with concentrated flavors, ideally balanced acidity and bright aromas. Cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks preserve the varietal's natural crisp citrus characteristics.
Due to an unseasonably warm winter, a long and dry spring, and a hot summer, the 2015 harvest was the earliest in decades. As a result, the grapes ripened quickly; about three weeks earlier than average. The vines produced a lower than average yield that resulted in highly concentrated grapes.
This wine can be enjoyed as a delightful aperitif or as an accompaniment to a grilled shrimp salad with coconut milk vinaigrette, a delicious pork schnitzel or a goat cheese crustini.
